Very nice feeling ! very thoughtful! But why must mention about "part" and "let go" all the time? I know and I cherish your ideas of it, but it is just my opinion that those words make shadowy and shade heavier along with the subject, and make much sadness slid in... ah... you have such beautiful mind of seeing life, may God also give you delightful sighs that to sigh over life - with only heartfelt of happiness, but no departure and goodbye! I love your writing!

I have to wonder why such a deep friendship must end. That, of course, is something to be kept inside as well. The statement of the friendship is a loving expression of a state few of us seem able to attain.

Loyal friendships are wonderful. I to am at a loss as to why your friendship should not continue. Is your friend ill? Very good write..Tony****

We as the reader, have no business prying as to why a friendship so special must end! That is a matter left to two hearts. We can, although feel sad that such a parting must take place and feel the sadness within you, Raymond.

Very touching and special! God has truly blessed you with a gift! Keep up the excellent work, I enjoy reading your poems!

I agree, its up to the writer whether or not a friendship should end in his/her writing, but all that matters is you did it beautifully. Good job! :D

Got a Johnny Rivers story, but its too long to tell here... But I second your nomination to the Hall of Fame. Ever meet anybody who could not keep from tapping their toes to Memphis? (On the same note, sort of, another legend has gone on with the passing of Sam Phillips).

Hi Belinda. Nice tribute to Johnny Rivers. Well written, a voice seeking justice.

Posted By: Ompapa - on August 1, 2003
Most of Johnny's works were overwrites... I love his 'Midnight special' (I'm playing it right now)Secret Agent Man was his... He was a friend of Hopi Medicine man 'White Bear' And was going to establish a place in Hawaii For a school... Don't know if that happened. Nice tribute to a great entertainer. Ompapa

Johnny Rivers has made such great hits as POOR SIDE OF TOWN, SECRET AGENT MAN, MEMPHIS. BABY, I NEED YOUR LOVIN. He is a great musicion, songwriter and singer. He was really popular in the 60's and his music is still magical today.
